Kilmarnock’s Christmas Lights Switch On – Further Details

Kilmarnock’s Christmas Lights will be switched on this year on Sunday 27th November. The Big Christmas Parade departs from the Howard Park at 1.30pm and the afternoon’s events continue on to 5.30pm. Events will be taking place in the town centre at The Foregate, The Cross and Bank Street, and will be hosted by Jen McGinley from West Sound radio.

The Foregate will have a funfair ride and face painting. There will also be street entertainers at various locations.

Bank Street will host a Christmas Market and the Community Stage which will feature a selection of local talent including:

  • Kilmarnock Academy Choir
  • East Ayrshire Youth Theatre
  • Centrestage’s Boys2Men

and lots more music, song and dance.

The Main Stage at The Cross will feature:

  • Re Take That
  • Big Vern and The Shootahs
  • Unsigned Unlimited
  • Centrestage Gospel and Soul Choir
  • Laura White (X Factor 2008)
