Kilmarnock has a wide selection of shops including many of the big name High Street favourites. King Street is the main shopping area and is car free. Here you will find Woolworths, W H Smith, BHS, Marks & Spencer, Boots and many others. A varied selection of local shops and cafes can be found in Bank Street. Here you will find a florist, jewellers, photography shop, toy shop, cafes and much more. The Foregate Square is the gateway to the town where you will find the bus station and main taxi rank. This area features a wide selection of shops including a gift shop, cafe, fishmonger, pet shop, opticians, bakery, fish & chip shops and others.
Portland Gate is Kilmarnocks' newest shopping street and includes a Wetherspoons bar, Gala Bingo, cafe, computer store, hairdressers and more. Our local newspaper, the Kilmarnock Standard, has it's offices in this street.
From the top of Portland Gate you can turn onto West George Street which includes a hairdressers, Indian take away shop, estate agents and the long established Sinforiani Bros shop, where you can select from hundreds of different malt whiskies, as well as tobacco, newspapers and more. Many more local stores can be found in Titchfield Street and surrounding areas.
